RF & Antenna Design

    • Design antennas and supporting RF circuitry from VHF through 6 GHz (exposure up to 26 GHz as needed)
    • Perform EM simulation and RF analysis using industry-standard tools
    • Derive requirements and develop RF/antenna architectures from system-level needs
    • Develop, tune, and optimize prototypes for performance, efficiency, and manufacturability

Validation & Test

    • Define and execute design verification and validation plans
    • Perform antenna measurements including impedance, radiation patterns, gain, and efficiency
    • Utilize RF lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
    • Correlate measured data to simulation models
    • Support antenna range testing, EMI/EMC testing, and environmental qualification

Hardware Implementation & Production Support

    • Apply knowledge of PWB materials, dielectric properties (Dk/Df), and RF loss mechanisms in high-frequency designs
    • Demonstrate working understanding of controlled impedance design, microstrip structures, and grounding techniques
    • Collaborate with layout and mechanical teams to ensure sound RF implementation
    • Support prototype fabrication, including hands-on build activities
    • Create and maintain BOMs and design documentation
    • Support transition from prototype to production and assist with field or production troubleshooting

Standards & Documentation

    • Support designs intended to meet DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, or similar standards
    • Produce clear engineering documentation and participate in design reviews

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering or related field
    • 2โ€“7 years of RF and/or antenna engineering experience
    • Demonstrated experience designing RF and antenna hardware from VHF through 6 GHz
    • Hands-on experience with EM simulation tools
    • Practical RF lab experience using VNAs and related test equipment
    • Strong understanding of antenna theory, impedance matching, bandwidth optimization, and efficiency
    • Working knowledge of phased array fundamentals, including array factors and amplitude/phase weighting techniques
    • Ability to clearly document and communicate technical work, fluent with Microsoft 365
    • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR, able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience designing or supporting systems up to 26 GHz
    • Experience with phased array implementation and beam steering, including practical weighting methods
    • Aerospace, defense, SATCOM, EW, rail, or marine industry experience
    • Experience transitioning RF or antenna designs into production
    • Hands-on prototype fabrication experience (machining and/or soldering)
    • MATLAB or Python for RF analysis or automated test support
